She was told that when she was aloud to return to her home she would be able to get a VISA. She said that could be years or even decades, but her plea fell on deaf ears. This makes no sense what so ever to me. Mabey I am just to stupid to get it. She has sponsors in congress and she wants to come here here to tell her story. She is going to tell us of how Christians were murdered in the streets and how many of them were forced from their homes by nasty murdering thugs. She could tell us of the horrible persecution christian girls when through. But she can't get in because she is an IDP internally displaced person. Don't worry though once every thing calms down enough that she can return to her home, then she can come to this country to tell her story and how she was kicked out of her home. WHAT?!
This is ridiculous! We might have a general policy not to let IDP's in this country. I can understand why a policy like that would be enacted. It would prevent a displaced person in Iraq getting a VISA in to this country so he can visit his cousin in Orlando and they can go to Disney Wold. When in reality that was just an excuse to get his foot in this country and he never had any intent on leaving. I can understand a policy based on that reasonable, but let's face it. This situation is much different.
I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist here or anything, but this seems to be a bit extreme for mere government incompetency. I have to wonder if their is some one inside the state department that does not want her to speak.
