He struggled the difficulties of type 2 diabetes for decades and all though it eventually claimed his life he lived for eighty-nine glorious magnificent years. No I doubt I can accomplish a hundredth of what he accomplished in his life, but if I can live for that long who knows what I can accomplish. At least I should be able to be around for my grand kids and play with them.
People like Mr. King are a reminder that you can live a long happy life and do great things and be an inspiration to others, even if you have something like Type 2 Diabetes. As a face a second amputation because of this dreaded decrease I find it hopeful that men like him have lived to that age doing as much as he had done. He was still doing concerts until about a year ago when his health took a serious downward turn. Concerts until 88, that sounds inspiring to me.
May God bless you Mr. King. I have never met you, but I know you were a great man. No you are a great man.
