Evil men of the same ilk are right now fighting for control of Syria nad Iraq and they have a chance of success. In Iraq they are torturing and murdering religous minorities, including Muslims that they believe are practicing a fallen form of the faith and Christians as well. My country may have some faults. I might not always agree with everything the leadership does, but I am still so grateful to live where I do.
I think it is easy not to be as grateful as we should be. Seeing the stories of what some people are going through in the middle east with the extremists and in Africa where Ebola is ragging through countries with health care systems unable to keep up with the devastation that this disease is leaving in its path. The problem is it's the health care workers that are most likely to become infected. Some have compared this epidemic to the endemic problems of Aids and Malaria that kill a very large amount of people far more than Ebola. these are dishonest comparisons though. Aids and Melaria are not spread in a way that they are a real threat to the care givers. Ebola isn't highly contagious because it is not spread through the air just threw bodie fluids, but if you are exposed to any of the virus it can make you sick, because it is very highly infectious. A microscpic amount of tears or sylica can make you sick and it has a very high mortality rate. The results is that this desease is wreaking havock with several counrties health care systems. So many doctors are getting sick and dying from Ebola they are not around to treat any of the other deseases that are also making others sick. As taxing to the health systems that Aids and melaria are it could be Ebola that completly colpses the medical systems of few African nations. It could get so bad that a revolution or two happens. It is times like this that I am so grateful to live in a country like the one I do.
So lets remember what happened in New York Pennsylvania and at the Pentagon and also Bengasi. Let's also remember what continues to go on all over the world. Also let us count our blessings and remember what the Lord has done for us. Even with all the health problem I have I camn and should be thankful that I lived in an area that was able to save my toe. I may have lost it in some areas of the globe.
